little update
Three more weeks till summer vacation. I can’t wait. I am tired of the demands of the kids’ school like – rushing in the morning to be there on time, homework, forms, milk money, field trips etc. It really feels like summer lately. The weather has been warm and we have enjoyed some summertime adventures (eating outside, going to the beach, gardening etc). The garden is starting to look great. I can’t wait for the lilies to bloom. Here are some pics of last weekend - Andrea, Jordana and 'the Ingrams' went to the Beach. Water was cold but the kids didnt seem to mind.
Andrea has invited the kids and I for a week in PEI for the first week of July. I have already asked for the vacation time off and so now I am counting down the days.
CJ and I are busy as anything at work again. Poor CJ is still working many nights every week. I feel so bad for him and don’t understand how he can function with so little sleep. I really like my job and have a lot of fun. I like the fact that I am not fully immersed in a project right now. Its a lot more relaxing and I have been able to focus on BD which is more fun (well right now I think it is).
I am getting there in terms of camps for the kids. Kenzie is booked for a couple weeks of horse camp, my mum is taking the kids for two weeks, we are camping for a week, Sarah is coming to visit for a week (CJ and I will be off). So that leave one week for Kenzie that I need to fill up and 3 for Seb. I think I’ll put them in the local Camp at their school for one week, Seb can do dinosaur camp for a week and that leave one week left for me to fill for him.
Speaking of riding – Kenzie is really enjoying it and has improved a lot. She can also tack up the horse completely by herself now and she can post/trot. The biggest difference is how comfortable she is around the horses now. She loves it and I love watching her.
