Happy Birthday Mackenzie
We had a birthday party for Kenzie on Saturday. It was very fun. We invited everyone we knew and some others as well. We told K that she could invite four of her friends from school and we sent out invitations. All 4 kiddos showed up. I noted on the invitations that the parents were welcome to stay since they didn’t know us etc. One father and one mother stayed during the party. We had arranged for the kiddos to play pin the tail on the donkey and do a craft (making heart shaped foam purses).
Lining up to play Pin the tail on the donkey. Is there anything cuter than 5 little girls looking so adorable?
Here are the kids eating their pizza.
The cake (princess cake of course). Check out the psycho dad expression on CJ. By the way, we ordered this cake from Sobe’s and despite the shocking pink and purple icing the cake was really, really tasty. I was very impressed.
Opening gifts.
The father who stayed was named Rembrandt. Isn’t that just a really cool name? His daughter who came to the party was child #4 out of 5 (all under 10). His wife is pregnant again. Can you imagine? The mother who stayed was really cool. I’ve seen her at school a few times when I dropped off Kenzie. I suggested to her that we could get together for a play-date sometime. I hope she calls because I really liked her and Kenzie and her daughter get along well.
Finally, CJ is playing music tomorrow with one of his coworkers and his (coworker’s) brother. I am so happy. I know has really missed playing guitar and I am glad it has some folks to jam with now. I hope he has fun.

"Check out the psycho dad expression on CJ"....maybe, it has somethin' to do with that dastardly shirt he's wearing! Happy Birthday Mackenzie!
