10 reasons it was a fun day

1. The kids slept in until almost 8:00 am.

2. I decided not to diet today.

3. The kids and I made lemon cranberry muffins and chocolate chip cookies for breakfast.

4. We all played in the snow while CJ shoveled.





5. We went to Helen and Dave's for a playdate.

6. Helen and I drank coolers, talked (made plans to take over school council next year), did crafts with the kids, danced, and watched the kids (generally) play well together.

CJ had to leave to go get his eyes checked. Then he went home to shovel the driveway for the 3rd time today because we are in the middle of one of the biggest snowstorms in years.

7. Dave picked CJ up on his way home (from his parents house - Dave had gone to shovel his parents driveway) cause CJ’s car doesn’t do so well in 2 feet of fresh snow and CJ had barely made it home.

8. They picked up pizza and cheese sticks on the way back. WE all enjoyed a yummy dinner together.

9. We all made plans to go out to next Friday night (reminder – must get babysitter) – the plan is to go to a local pub to listen to Dave’s brothers band. It’s an Open Mic deal so hopefully CJ and Brian will go up and play too.

10. After spending almost 6 hours at the Woods, we decided to head home. I’m glad we made it home safely (we had to stop on the way home and CJ had to push a guy out of our street cause he was stuck). They obviously haven’t come to clear our neighborhood for a few hours since there’s still about a foot of snow on the streets).
