Life in the happy lane
Well, I can honestly say that our life is not boring. We always do a bunch of fun stuff on the weekends and this week was no exception. On Friday I picked the kids up from school at 2:30. We took Zoe home with us too. The kids all played together nicely. When CJ got home from work I met Andrea for a game of squash. I haven’t played squash in about 15 years... and it showed. Andrea beat me 5 games out of 6. But we did have a lot of fun and I am looking forward to playing again soon. I would like to play with CJ sometime too. I found out that our local community centre has squash courts and we can play there for only about $5 per person. Good deal if you ask me.
Zoe ended up staying over and having a sleep over which was nice for Kenzie. On Saturday morning the girls decided to set up a spa in the kids’ bathroom. They invited me to come in for some services so I got a wonderful facial (face mask, tea bags on the eyes, moisturizer etc). After Zoe left the 4 of us all took some wonderful Saturday afternoon naps. I LOVE afternoon naps. They are just so luxurious. It was good too, because we ended up meeting Brian and Jenna for some evening bowling (we took Sophia with us) afterwards. It was a ton of fun. I always forget how fun bowling is. Anyways, we had a lot of good laughs. It was fun to see everyone put their own spin on bowling style. I was most impressed by conservative Brian doing a backward somersault on the floor after he got a strike. That was awesome!
This morning was wonderful... CJ got up early and went biking with the boys. I woke up when he left and did a bit of work on my computer in bed while Seb dozed beside me (he is awfully cute when he is all sleepy and snugly). After CJ got back we all got up and had a lazy breakfast of croissants and coffee (adults). We then played a bit of the Hannah Montana game and then decided to go for a hike. We went for a walk on a nice trail near our house. It was mostly a wonderful adventure with only a couple minor incidents (Seb slipped and got a soaker in the creek up to his knee, Kenzie tripped and fell and Seb tripped and fell). A few tears in each case and then they were back to running and giggling together... CJ and I walked along holding hands and enjoying the spring weather.
I love these guys
Life is good.
